James A. Crutchfield
Among the first patients that I met after moving to Franklin in 1993 was Jim Crutchfield. Anybody that changes horses (secure careers) in midstream to pursue a passion intrigues me. Anyone that can tell a powerful story with passion does as well. People that know Jim Crutchfield know that he successfully does both. James has been so generous to share his knowledge of the history of Williamson County with us in our newsletters. He has written several articles for us to feature including How the Harpeth River Got Its Name – Maybe, The Early Days of Williamson County, The Building of the Williamson County Courthouse, and Religion was an Important Element in Early Williamson County. If you enjoy his articles, make sure you pick up one of his wonderful books at Amazon.com.
