Sleep Apnea and Heart Risks

A new study found that "men between 40 and 70 years of age who had severe sleep apnea were 68 percent more likely to develop heart disease, and 58 percent more likely to develop heart failure, than those without the condition."  Sleep apnea affects approximately 24% of men.

The link between fat and sleep

Did you know that what you eat may be influencing your sleep?  In a research study conducted at the University of Pennsylvania, it was found that eating fatty foods led to a higher incidence of poor sleep.  So, eating right is good for your teeth, good for your sleep, and good for your all-around health.  The Washington Post has a good overview of this research.
