"As a patient of Dr. Hensley for over 5 years, he has filled my cavities, fixed my crowns and bridge, and cleaned and whitened my teeth. I like his 'bedside manner,' which is very relaxed. I don't feel like the cash register is ringing when I walk in the door. At Dr. Hensley's office, I am welcomed at the door, they listen to what I need, and they genuinely care about me and my family. I know I can trust Grant as a person, and I like everyone in his office. I sent some friends to see Grant, because I trust him." MIKE B.
"Before, I hated going to the dentist. Now that I have met Dr. Hensley and his staff, I love going to the dentist. I have been a patient of Dr. Hensley for over 6 years. He has placed several crowns for me, helped me find an orthodontist, and has treated my TMJ issues. He balances his desire to make your teeth look nice and function well with what needs to be done, while keeping my budget in mind. When you walk into his building, it is calming: the atmosphere, the decorations, even sitting in the chairs to look out a window a the bird baths. I can't tell you enough good things about Grant." AMY J.
"Dr. Hensley and his staff are most excellent. They are all qualified, and I appreciate the way they conduct themselves. They are efficient and friendly, and I would recommend them to someone looking for a dentist. Dr. Hensley is a family man and comfortable to associate with. My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Hensley since he moved his business to Franklin, as well as my daughter, son-in-law, and grandson." JANE P.
"Grant Hensley is a superior dentist. He is one of the most conscientious people I've ever known, and he really cares about his patients. I trust him completely; I know he's not just trying to make money. I have better teeth now than I did when I was 20 years old." JIM W.
"I'm very grateful to Dr. Hensley & his team for helping me to sleep
again!
I've suffered with obstructive sleep apnea for several years & had no luck finding a solution - until I met Dr. Hensley. Initially, my sleep doctor put me on the CPAP breathing machine. It took me a long time to get used to that obtrusive thing strapped to my face, pushing air down my throat. After six months, I finally grew comfortable with it, only to find out that my body had adjusted to the pressure & I had to pay for a doctor's visit in order to have the pressure increased. In frustration I went to a surgeon for help. I had three procedures done simulateneously that were very painful. The most painful part, however, was discovering that I was one of the 50% who get no relief from surgery. All that pain for nothing!
I knew there had to be a better way. I searched & found Dr. Hensley. The TAP appliance is easy to adjust to & it works immediately. There was some morning jaw soreness for the first couple of days, but it abated quickly. After 6 months, I have no soreness at all & I'm breathing as well as ever. And that means, of course, that I'm sleeping well again. And that has made my life 100% better.
For a person with sleep apnea, the TAP should be the first option - not the last. It's much cheaper than the CPAP or surgery (by thousands of dollars). And, it flat out works.
Joy, if you have any patients who are considering the TAP & would like to talk to a patient, I would be very happy to talk & answer any questions.
Thanks for all you've done." Chris Sanders
I would like to take an opportunity to let you know how much your professional services have improved my quality of life.
"About 2 years ago I participated in a sleep study for a chronic snoring condition. It was determined that I had sleep apnea. This problem had been tolerated for several years and I was finally motivated to find a solution after my husband was threatening to move into the spare bedroom to get some sleep. I knew I was constantly fatigued, could not stay awake to watch a TV show, and no matter how early I went to bed, it usually felt like I was tired when I awoke in the mornings. Once the sleep study had identified the sleep apnea, it seemed there could be a solution to my problem by a device called the Thornton Adjustable Sleep Positioner, also know as a TAP appliance.
"I was fitted for this appliance, and the professionalism of all your staff was acknowledged. The appliance arrived, and I was instructed in the proper use and care for this device with great expertise. I could not wait for bedtime to come to see if it really worked.
"The very first night of use proved that I had found the solution to the snoring problem. My husband could attest to it, and we were both very relieved and excited about the results. It has taken a minimal amount of adjustment time. The device was so expertly adjusted for proper alignment in the office that I haven't needed to make any adjustments with the tools in the kit. I feel that I could if needed. There has been very minimal, occasional jaw soreness that is always relieved by doing the recommended jaw exercises in the morning after removing the appliance.
"I would like to encourage anyone who has been given this choice as a viable option for solving your sleep apnea or snoring problem to give it a try. I would be happy to visit with anyone who would like to speak to someone who wears one for a testimonial.
"My problem has been completely solved, and I regret not having done something about it much sooner." RHONDA W.
"After five symnoplasties and a ulvulaectomy in an attempt to reduce my snoring with no apparent result, I was discouraged. Recently, my wife read an airplane magazine article which described an oral appliance designed to reduce snoring. The article said that many people's snoring had been eliminated. She suggested that I call Dr. Hensley to see if he could fit me with this appliance. After talking with him, I not only learned that many patients had been referred to him from the sleep clinic for the appliance, but many who had tried the TAP appliance had experienced excellent results.
"I was fitted for the TAP oral appliance, and after only a couple of nights I can honestly say that the results are truly amazing! My wife now says that I do not snore, and she can sleep all through the night without being awakened. After many years of frustrated sleeping, this is great news! I only wish I had had this appliance years ago. Thank you Dr. Hensley!" DANNY K.
